This course is for you if:
You are pregnant and will be between 12 and ~35 weeks at the start of the course,
You want to know how to safely and effectively strengthen your pelvic floor, to help prevent/improve continence problems during pregnancy and beyond,
You want to know how to exercise your abdominals to maintain support of your back and pelvis as your pregnancy progresses,
You are experiencing low back pain or pelvic girdle pain/SPD and want to learn which exercises can help treat this,
You would like the opportunity to meet other local Mums-to-be in a supportive and friendly environment,
You would like to know which stretches can help ease the general aches and pains of pregnancy,
You would like to be able to take away something from your antenatal exercise classes, so you can continue to exercise at home after the course has finished,
You would like to know more about 'optimal foetal positioning', and how your own alignment and positioning can positively impact that of your baby,
You would like to be taught antenatal Pilates in a small group environment with an individualised focus, confident that each exercise can be tailored to meet your needs,

Antenatal Pilates will help your body cope with the different stages of pregnancy as well as prepare for birth and motherhood by focusing on breathing, flexibility, alignment, pelvic floor connection, and abdominal strengthening. The mind/body connection in Pilates will enhance feelings of relaxation - a tool to be utilised in the run up to labour and during birthing.
You will benefit from Jo’s clinical expertise and background in treating pregnant ladies - exercises are carefully selected and adapted to ensure their suitability for ladies experiencing Pelvic Girdle Pain or other common pregnancy related musculoskeletal conditions.
Learn how to do meaningful, functional pelvic floor exercises which will enhance your pelvic health, not just in pregnancy but beyond. We will work all the areas needed to be strong in pregnancy and stretch and release areas known to get tight and stiff. This course will leave Mums-to-be feeling energised, stronger, more flexible and definitely more knowledgeable....having made a few friends along the way!
Class numbers are kept small to allow individual attention for all. Exercises are easily adapted to suit each individual, so you get the best out of the classes. All equipment will be provided, just bring yourself and bump! Suitable from 12 weeks to 35/6 weeks (at the start of the course)
